Standing on the main stage of Archer Music Hall, it’s hard not to imagine an evening in the not-too-distant future when the new venue in downtown Allentown is filled with concertgoers moving to the beat of the music.
“Just think about having this place packed with 1,600 screaming fans, staring at you, all hanging on your every word,” said Maggie Gessner, head of clubs for Live Nation, which is managing the music hall . “Think about the wash of the screams, or even the rapt attention as everyone is waiting for you to open your mouth and entertain them. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.”
Live Nation gave a preview tour of the building at 939 Hamilton St. on Thursday morning to members of the media. After months of looking at renderings and seeing the construction, people will soon be able to go in the structure built by City Center Investment Corp. and see its first show…
