Fresno deputies arrest suspect wanted for attempted murder

FRESNO, California — A 41-year-old man was arrested at a Sanger fast-food restaurant on Tuesday, suspected of attempted murder and burglary, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.Samuel Botello Rodriguez, of Fresno, was detained by a Sanger Police officer at a Jack in the Box on Jensen Avenue after being recognized as a wanted person. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (ViCAT) took custody of Rodriguez and booked him into the Fresno County Jail, where his bail is set at $1 million, the Sheriff’s Office stated.The arrest follows an incident on January 19, when deputies responded to a home on the 8100 block of E.
