Las Vegas Police Launch Homeless Compstat to Combat Homelessness with Data-Driven Strategy

In an effort to mitigate the challenges of homelessness in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has initiated a new strategy called Homeless Compstat. This initiative, launched during a key meeting at their headquarters, represents a concerted push to synergize the work of law enforcement, community stakeholders, and service providers dedicated to supporting the unhoused population.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced on Facebook that the primary goal of Homeless Compstat is to foster efficient communication and the sharing of resources, which may lead to a more astute understanding of the dynamics characterizing homelessness, including evolving trends, areas of concern, and the specific needs of those living without shelter, the department also extended accolades to HELP of Southern Nevada for their ongoing support and collaboration with the LVMPD Hope and Outreach Team.
