LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The charges for two men who were arrested in the 2021 shooting death of Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Shirley have been dropped.
On Aug. 5, 2021, Deputy Shirley, 26, was shot and killed while working an off-duty security job at Rockford Lane Auto Sales in Shively.
The police chief for Louisville Metro Police Department at the time, Erica Shields, said Shirley was “targeted and ambushed.”…
