HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Horry County Schools has named 10 semifinalists for its 2026 Teacher of the Year award.
The semifinalists are:
- Jodi Rielly — Academy for the Arts, Science & Technology
- James Walker — Aynor Middle School
- Shelly Reathaford — Carolina Forest High School
- Maurice Sheffield — Conway Middle School
- Sandra Shores — Forestbrook Middle School
- Michelle Bozio — Socastee Middle School
- Tabitha Gilliard — South Conway Elementary School
- Danielle McColl — St. James Intermediate School
- Emily Riefler — St. James Middle School
- JoLynn Prochaska — Ten Oaks Middle School
The semifinalists were chosen by the district’s Teacher of the Year selection committee. The group of semifinalists will be narrowed to finalists, with a winner to be announced in the spring.
