Tremaine Brown, founder of Vessel of Humanity and Compassion, received national recognition on Wednesday as 7 Brew Coffee named him the 2024 Hero of the Year. This accolade follows his designation as last year’s Amarillo Globe-News Man of the Year, highlighting his significant contributions to the local community.
Brown, whose organization supports Amarillo’s children through spring and summer lunch programs, annual toy drives and backpack giveaways, expressed immense gratitude for the honor. “This is a great honor,” Brown said. “Amarillo should be proud of itself because people stepped up and realized the work we’re doing. It’s humbling to see the love and support from the community.”
Lizette Perez, Public Relations Coordinator and Heroes Director at 7 Brew Coffee, praised Brown’s unwavering dedication. “We have 12 7 Brew heroes across the country each year who embody our mission to cultivate kindness in their communities. Tremaine Brown stood out because his work with Vessel of Humanity and Compassion truly resonates with our values,” Perez stated. “His efforts in providing meals, school supplies, and year-round activities for children have made a profound impact.”…
