Law enforcement apprehends suspect in downtown Miami following brutal beatings of homeless individuals
In a shocking display of violence, a 30-year-old man attacked four homeless individuals in downtown Miami on the early Thursday morning of January 16, leaving two dead and two others injured. Armed with a stick, the suspect carried out the attacks in what law enforcement officials are calling an “unprovoked” act of brutality.

A 911 call just after 6 a.m. alerted Miami police to the horrifying scene near a downtown train station. According to Miami Police Chief Manny Morales, the suspect first attacked a man near the station before moving down the street to assault another homeless man. His spree of violence continued as he crossed the street to target a homeless couple.
“This is a horrible incident,” Morales said during a press conference. “The officers on the scene and the Miami Police Department are appalled at this display of unprovoked violence.”
