AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Zoo celebrates 70 years of existence with one of its most popular animals, the African Lion.
The Canvases and Critters night will be held from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 15. The event will feature artist Melissa Haney who will instruct a painting class to help everyone create Valentine’s-themed lion masterpiece.

Officials added that spaces are limited and tickets are set at $40 per person. The event is only for adults age 21 years old or older. Amarillo Zoo encourages guest to bring their own drinks and relax with others in the community.
