Volunteers help remove wreaths from veteran’s graves

WINDY HILLS, Ky. (WAVE) – A Louisville business gave people the opportunity to help clean up veteran’s graves.

Just before Christmas, Wreaths Across America decorated graves at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery with more than 11,000 wreaths. Saturday, the junk removal and demolition company JUNKCO+ invited people to come out and help take them all down.

“Our veterans are very important to us, so we want to make sure that we are honoring them throughout the year, that we are not forgetting them, that they’re the ones that give us the freedom that we’ve got,” JUNKCO+ President Blake Gordon said. “They’ve laid down their lives, the ultimate sacrifice. So we want to be able to do anything we can to be able to help keep their memory and keep them maintained.”…
