Today marks the first day of a massive “multi-agency nuclear incident training exercise” in upstate New York.
The Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, and the National Nuclear Security Administration — alongside other state organizations — will be conducting the exercise from Jan. 26 to Jan. 31, a written statement from the FBI said.
The statement cautioned against the public getting “alarmed” by the exercises, which will include “the presence of military personnel and aircraft, and people in protective equipment,” in addition to other state and city sheriff and police agency vehicles…
