3 injured after early morning duplex fire in High Point | 3 others displaced

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A fire that broke out at a duplex in High Point early Sunday morning injured three people and displaced three others, according to the High Point Fire Department.

Crews were called to the scene around 1:30 a.m. Sunday night about a structure fire on Pegram Avenue. When they arrived on scene, firefighters found that a one story duplex had smoke coming from the interior. An adult victim was also found lying in the driveway, according to the fire department.

After arriving on scene, crews removed two additional victims from the duplex. All three were transported to medical facilities for treatment, and dual county EMS units responded because of the address’ location and the severity of the victims injuries…
