Chinese New Year, or more correctly, Lunar New Year, since it starts around the first new moon of the calendar year and is celebrated as the year’s biggest holiday in many (but not all) Asian cultures, including but not limited to Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan and the Philippines.
