Heavy snow and high winds are forecast to impact travel on Oregon’s Cascade Mountain roads and passes from Thursday night into Saturday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. The heaviest snow is forecast in the southern Cascades, around Crater Lake National Park, but the northern and central Cascades between Willamette Pass and Mount Hood will also see plenty of white. The series of storms begins a pattern likely to bring snow and cold weather for the coming week or two, with snow likely dropping into lower elevations later next week.
