There have been no recent ICE raids in Erie, but some people are worried

Agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement — commonly known as ICE — continued to arrest noncitizens across the United States this week. According to a report in NorthJersey.com, federal authorities reported more than 5,500 arrests of noncitizens in the space of a week. On Thursday, widely circulated reports suggested that one or more raids had taken place in Erie, including at Plastek Industries , Erie County’s largest plastics company. The story made the rounds. Erie Mayor Joe Schember heard about it. So did state Rep. Pat Harkins and, apparently, a lot of other people. But there’s no evidence…..
