A Shawnee neighborhood church fire is under control after crews worked for about 90 minutes to put out flames, Capt. Donovan Sims of the Louisville Department of Fire said. Firefighters were dispatched to the New Jerusalem Apostolic Church in the 3700 block of West Broadway around 7 a.m. Sunday and was considered to be under control at 8:35 a.m., Louisville Fire reported on X, formerly Twitter.
