FIRST ALERT: SLIPPERY MONDAY MORNING COMMUTE

An active weather pattern returns to the region this week, with several precipitation chances on the horizon. Sunday morning started a bit slippery, with snowfall and freezing rain across NE Wisconsin. Any newly fallen snow will start melting this afternoon, as we warm back into the 40s, but don’t expect much sunshine to peek through the clouds. Any breaks we see in the clouds will be short-lived as another round of snow will develop late Sunday night and continue through Monday morning. Snow and/or freezing rain looks likely through the Monday morning commute, so Monday will be a First Alert Weather Day. 1-3 inches of snowfall is expected for the Green Bay area, with higher totals in the 4-6 inch range further north. This narrow band of snow could shift further north or south, which will impact which areas receive the higher amounts. Be sure to leave extra time to get to where you need to go tomorrow, slow down and use extra caution while driving, especially on bridges and overpasses…
