SANTA ROSA COUNTY — A news release from the Florida Highway Patrol confirmed the death of a Panama City man in a vehicle crash. The 33-year-old was driving a pickup truck when he was killed in a crash involving a 68-year-old Milton man. According to the release, the Panama City man was driving away from Edgewood Drive travelling east on U.S. 98 in the inside westbound lane. The Milton man was driving west on U.S. 98 and approaching Edgewood Drive in the inside lane. The front of both vehicles collided and the Panama City man was pronounced dead on the scene. The other man was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. This all took place about 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, according to the release.
