HENDERSONVILLE – A request to rezone nearly 35 acres of land off Haywood Road from residential to commercial was denied Feb. 3 by Henderson County commissioners, drawing applause from residents in the audience who opposed the application. Commissioners unanimously shot down the proposal, saying the commercial zoning was not consistent with the county’s Comprehensive Plan.
