Kelly Clarkson Doubts Marriage After Divorce

Kelly Clarkson appears to be thriving in her new life as a single woman. The singer and talk show host recently relocated from Los Angeles to New York City, has embraced a healthier lifestyle, and continues to welcome a parade of celebrities to her popular daytime show.

A recent conversation on The Kelly Clarkson Show offered a glimpse into Clarkson’s views on relationships. When guest Jenna Bush Hager offered to set her up, Clarkson politely declined.

Bush Hager, promoting her new publishing imprint, gifted Clarkson with a romance novel. Clarkson expressed gratitude but stated she wasn’t currently dating. Despite Bush Hager’s insistence, mentioning a successful match she’d made for her show’s executive producer, Clarkson remained firm.

Clarkson lightheartedly explained that she doesn’t believe marriage is for everyone. While admiring the successful marriages of others, including her sister’s, she doesn’t see it in her own future.

Clarkson’s recent divorce from Brandon Blackstock, her husband of seven years and father of her two children, likely contributed to her perspective. The split was reportedly complicated by Blackstock’s role as Clarkson’s manager, leading to protracted legal battles.

For now, Clarkson seems content to focus on herself and her career. She told Bush Hager that she’s not even interested in dating, jokingly suggesting a casual “make out” session would be the extent of her romantic pursuits.
