BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Highway Patrol arrested one person after a pursuit and issued many citations during the “Crash Campaign” operation throughout Bakersfield.
Officers from the Bakersfield, Visalia, Porterville, Fort Tejon and Buttonwillow areas conducted an operation Feb. 3, aimed at reducing fatal and injury-inducing crashes.
CHP says one man was arrested after leading officers on a pursuit, 114 citations were issued, four warnings were given, and four vehicles were impounded.
Three of the citations were for vehicles traveling over 100 miles per hour, the CHP said. The operation took place on Bakersfield state routes between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m…
