(WFRV) – The 55-year-old Appleton man convicted of murdering a man in Appleton on November 15, 2022, was sentenced on Monday to life in prison without parole.
Eric Rogers will spend the rest of his life in prison after his sentencing hearing, which came almost a full year after he was found guilty by a jury.

Court records show that Rogers was found guilty on February 22, 2024, of the following four charges with the prison time included:
- 1st-Degree Intentional Homicide – Life
- Robbery with use of Force – 10 Years
- Taking a vehicle without consent and by force – 10 Years
- Bail jumping, misdemeanor – 18 months
Officers started a suspicious death investigation after being called to a home in the 700 block of West Summer Street in the morning of November 15, 2022. The victim, Erik Hudson, was confirmed to be dead on the scene.
