Two arrested after fatal shooting, car-building collision

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – Two people have been taken into custody after a shooting led to a crash in southwest Oklahoma City, police say.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call in the 1400 block of SW 38th St. Tuesday afternoon. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, 24-year-old Jasmin Chavez, after she crashed into a building. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she died.

Officials say Chavez had stopped to speak with some people in the 1300 block of SW 38th St. when she was shot. As she tried to drive away, she drove into a building about a block away.

Two people have been taken into custody, 19-year-old Ryan Jones has been booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center and a 16-year-old has been booked into the Berry House…
