Springfield man charged in federal court with threatening ICE employees in several offices

A Springfield man is being charged in federal court for allegedly threatening U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

Gabriel Ramsey, 51 of Springfield, allegedly emailed ICE offices in Pennsylvania and California last week accusing the agency of being cruel, claiming laws no longer apply to anyone and calling ICE “the enemy” and a threat that “needs to be eliminated,” according to court documents filed in U.S. District Court of the Western District of Missouri.

Another California Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations received threats by phone with the caller allegedly identifying himself as Ramsey and claiming he wanted all ICE employees to be shot in the head. According to the document, he stated he may be outside of the office, wanted to harm himself and others, and made comments about assassinating the president though with no plans of actually doing so.
