Greene County faces an increase of respiratory illness cases

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Springfield-Greene County Health Department has seen an increase in the community’s influenza and pertussis, also known as whooping cough.

Over the last three weeks, Greene County flu cases have nearly doubled. In January 2025, the county had one of its highest flu rates since 2003.
