Wayne Brady’s Show Cancelled But He’s Got Big Plans

Additional Coverage:

Local entertainer Wayne Brady, known for hosting “Let’s Make a Deal” and his improv work on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”, recently shared some news about his reality show, “Wayne Brady: Family Remix.” The show, which aired its first season on Freeform and Hulu last year, won’t be returning for a second season. Brady expressed his love for creating the show and hinted that the family may return to television in some form in the future.

The show offered a glimpse into Brady’s blended family, including his daughter, ex-wife Mandie Taketa, and her partner. It covered sensitive topics such as Brady coming out as pansexual and the revelation of a son he had from a previous relationship.

Despite the reality show’s end, Brady has plenty of projects in the works. He’s developing a sitcom with Taketa and has another Broadway role lined up for this summer.

Brady and his family will also appear in a live-streaming event during Super Bowl LIX, sponsored by Perdue Chicken. The unscripted performance will feature improv, songs, and characters created on the spot.

Brady will be joined by “Let’s Make a Deal” co-star Jonathan Mangum and “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” alum Chris Lee.

Fans can catch the live stream on Brady’s and Perdue’s Instagram pages after the Super Bowl.
