Flood Warnings Issued for Sacramento River in Northern California

Sacramento, CA – Flood warnings remain in effect for portions of the Sacramento River, with minor flooding forecast in several areas, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Sacramento.

According to the NWS, the flood warning for the Sacramento River at Ord Ferry in Glenn and Butte counties has been extended until Friday evening. As of Thursday morning, the river level was measured at 115.3 feet, exceeding the flood stage of 114.0 feet. The river is expected to crest at 116.6 feet before receding below flood stage by Friday afternoon. Floodwaters have already forced the closure of Ord Ferry Road and could impact additional roads and flood control facilities…
