Teen charged in KC chef’s death will soon learn if he will be tried as an adult

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A teenager charged in connection with the death of a popular Kansas City chef and restaurant owner will soon learn if he will be tried as adult for the crime.

A judge scheduled a certification hearing on Tuesday, April 8, for the teenager, according to a spokesperson for Jackson County court.
