(WCSC) – A Lowcountry family’s experience inside a North Charleston skilled nursing facility is sparking renewed concerns about the facility’s troubling history of complaints and investigations and is raising the question of how state and federal agencies regulate and inspect nursing homes.
Gerald McFadden’s family says the months he spent at Riverside Health and Rehab were marked by a series of disturbing issues after he was admitted in May 2022 following a traumatic brain injury from a car accident.
