PEMBROKE PINES – The family of a 20-year-old man who was killed while delivering food early Monday morning is pleading for answers after the driver who struck him fled the scene.
Julian Gonzalez Escobar , who moved to South Florida from Colombia in 2023, was working as a food delivery driver when he was hit at the intersection of Pines Boulevard and Douglas Road, in Pembroke Pines. He had been on the job for just two days.
“This person struck him in the back, and he flew away,” a family member said…
