Oconee Co. deputy arrested, accused of misconduct in office

OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – An Oconee County sheriff’s deputy has been accused of using his position to conduct surveillance on a person in Clemson.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division arrested and charged Justin Alan Pelfrey, 36, with misconduct in office and public official misconduct.

According to warrants, Pelfrey used his position as a law enforcement officer to conduct surveillance for personal gain while on duty. He also used law enforcement databases to obtain further information about them, warrants said…
