ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – According to WalletHub , there are currently 6.9 million Americans unemployed. WalletHub broke down unemployment in America with its recent study on states where unemployment claims are increasing the most. The study compared the states across several key metrics, including unemployment claims per 100,000 people in labor the force.

New Mexico ranked near the bottom of the list at spot 39. According to the study, New Mexico saw 42 unemployment claims per 100,000 people in the labor force.
