A storm system is building into the region for the first half of the weekend. Snow is expected to spread across Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. However, due to some dry air mixing in on the southern side of the storm, amounts will be on the lighter side across southern Minnesota and North Iowa.
Winter Weather Advisories are in effect through most of Saturday for Rochester, Owatonna, and points northward. A general 1-3″ appears most probable, with higher amounts closer to the Twin Cities. Across North Iowa, amounts will be around one inch or less, but an isolated two inches isn’t out of the question…
