Unwelcome visitor sprays man in face with mace at home in Leesburg

A Leesburg woman was arrested for burglary after barging into a man’s home without permission and spraying him with mace when she left.

Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call at an undisclosed Lake County residence around 8:45 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, the officers met with two people near the residence. The man was identified as the victim, while the woman was identified as 27-year-old Oceanne Octavisis Mitchell.

While speaking with the victim, he advised officers that Mitchell came to the residence uninvited to get some belongings she left there. He answered the door not knowing who it was, and she came inside the residence without his permission. She then used the sink in the kitchen to wash clothes before going into the bedroom to collect some of her belongings, the report said.

At that point, the victim confronted Mitchell and asked her to leave, as she had already been trespassed from the residence. They went into the living room from the bedroom, and she sprayed him in the face with mace before leaving. The officers got there shortly after and spotted her near the residence…
