Former NFL star Tom Brady made his Super Bowl LIX broadcasting debut on Sunday, working for Fox Sports. He sported a dazzling, attention-grabbing gold watch.
The timepiece sparked online curiosity about its value and maker. It turns out Brady was wearing a Jacob & Co. Caviar Tourbillon watch.
This particular model, the Yellow Sapphires design, boasts 48.92 carats of yellow sapphires and 1.32 carats of white diamonds. The rose gold watch carries a hefty price tag of $740,000.
The watchmaker describes the gem arrangement as resembling caviar, a “universal symbol of luxury.” Beyond its sparkling exterior, the watch features an alligator leather strap, 30-meter water resistance, and a 42-hour power reserve. Other celebrities, including Jay-Z and Cristiano Ronaldo, have been seen wearing Caviar Tourbillon watches.
Brady is a known watch enthusiast. In December, he auctioned off part of his collection for $4.6 million. One highlight was a Rolex Daytona Paul Newman “John Player Special” that sold for $1.1 million.
While Brady’s football career, with estimated earnings around $300 million, is over, his broadcasting career is just beginning. He signed a lucrative 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox. This figure doesn’t include stock options, making the deal even more valuable.
