A third arrest has been made in connection to the shooting death of a South Florida mother and her 4-year-old daughter, which occurred on the Florida Turnpike last summer, as confirmed by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO). Twenty-year-old Kamarri Sanders is the latest suspect brought into custody, with Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives apprehending him in Miami Gardens on Friday.
According to Local10, Sanders has been charged with two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, and during his court appearance, Sanders was denied bond. Previously, 28-year-old Antoine Harris and 29-year-old Jaquan Thomas had been arrested in connection with the double homicide of the victims, identified as Beatrice Saintvil and her daughter Janelle Souffrant.
The murders took place on June 6, 2023, after reports of gunfire alerted Florida Highway Patrol troopers to the northbound lanes of the Turnpike near Mile Marker 49.
