Flames raced through a shopping plaza in Northwoods Sunday evening, damaging 4 businesses and forcing customers to evacuate.
Firefighters were dispatched around 5:30 p.m. Sunday to a report of a fire at 91 North Oaks Plaza at Natural Bridge Road and Lucas and Hunt Road. Jasmine Kaur works at Simply Shoes and believes the fire started in the ceiling of the business.
“My customer, she smelled a gas leak. With her, I went towards the back and there was just a sudden fire,” she said.
