Michigan Woman Sentenced For Joyride In Stolen Police Cruiser

I can admit that I am one of the few many people who have taken a joyride in a car that wasn’t mine but what I can say is that the car wasn’t stolen, and I didn’t end up on the news. You know, bending a few extra corners when you mom asks you to run to the store or having the car for the night and choosing to just go on a ride before going to your destination, harmless things.

We never know what the day has in store for us until it happens, and I would say that if you told most people they would end their day on a joyride, they wouldn’t believe you. For some people, their joyrides are less fun and often times end in injury or other consequences. That’s exactly what happened in Northern Michigan when a woman decided to take a ride in a police cruiser.

Cortney L. Morey of Muskegon County was sentenced to 12 months in jail last week after she decided to steal a police cruiser. Officers were called to a residence near Ravenna on August 3rd for a domestic call. Upon arrival state troopers found Morey sitting on the ground and looked to be distraught…
