Student count day could be put on hold if incoming storm cancels classes

The possibility of severe winter weather will not only add to the snow day tally for this school year, it could postpone one of the most important days of the year for school districts statewide.

Michigan’s student count day is scheduled for Wednesday and according to the Michigan Department of Education, canceling school due to weather conditions would lead to rescheduling on the following day school is in session.
