The California house that Hot Pockets built is for sale for $40 million

As a luxurious gated community overlooking the dramatic vistas of Newport Coast, Pelican Crest is where scions of business, pop culture and the sports world call home. The coastline enclave also happens to be where Paul Merage, the co-founder of the Hot Pockets freezer staple empire, lays his head.

Those looking to move in — and with $40 million to spare — can now nab Merage’s mansion in the master-planned Orange County community. His former home at 9 Sailcrest is now the priciest listing in Pelican Crest, according to the Orange County Register.
