KENDALL COUNTY, Ill. – A North Aurora man has been found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder in connection with a deadly gang-related shooting in 2020.
Authorities said on Veterans Day 2020, 14 shots were fired into a home in the Boulder Hill subdivision. Of the six people inside the home, two of them – identified as Cassandra and Changina Chatman – were hit by the gunfire and died from their injuries.
Evidence gathered at the scene indicated the shooting was a form of gang retaliation. Investigators reviewed neighborhood surveillance footage which showed a black Porsche Cayenne present at the scene. Authorities identified the vehicle and sent out footage to local departments, according to investigators.
