A man and woman have been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting in Minneapolis last spring.
According to the complaint, officers responded to a report of gunfire on the 2200 block of 5th Avenue North at approximately 4:43 a.m. on May 17, 2024, and found a male victim lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers found the man initially responsive, but he lost consciousness shortly after. Police observed gunshot wounds to the victim’s face, neck, chest and abdomen. He later died at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Witnesses reported hearing an argument followed by gunshots and seeing a red Chevrolet Suburban leaving the scene. Investigators later linked the vehicle to the victim and found it abandoned in Minneapolis two days later.
