Exact locations of 24 Dairy Queens forced to close as ‘complete contents’ of restaurants auctioned off

Texas residents may have to travel further to enjoy their Dairy Queen Blizzards as more than two dozen of the ice cream restaurants across the state are closing their doors and their “complete contents” have been put up for auction.

Texas was dubbed “DQ Country” in Dairy Queen’s marketing but a total of 25 locations in the state, including some that have been in business for more than half a century , have either already shut down or will soon be closing. “Multiple Dairy Queen locations are closing their doors and must liquidate the assets,” according to online auction site, localauctions.com , who have listed the contents of 24 locations.

“Bid on a large variety of restaurant assets and related items that need to be removed from the location,” the site adds. “Buyers are responsible for disassembling and removing purchased assets and must bring their own help and tools.”

Everything aside from the Coke machines, CO2 tanks, tea brewers, ice machines and IT equipment is up for auction and must be removed from the sites by February 23. Among those up for auction is the Sour Lake Dairy Queen, which opened up in 1973…
