Top federal prosecutor in the region fired after 4 years

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio announced that U.S. Attorney Kenneth Parker was fired on Tuesday.

Parker has been the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio since November 2021. Former President Joe Biden nominated Parker and the U.S. Senate unanimously approved the nomination.

It is not unusual for U.S. Attorneys to move on when the administration changes, however, the district did not provide information on why Parker was fired.
