A “significant” winter storm is moving into the area Wednesday and Thursday, prompting closures throughout the region.
A winter storm warning will be in effect for Hampton Roads, northeastern North Carolina and parts of the Eastern Shore beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to the weather service.
