KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Western Missouri is one step closer to resolving a decades-old issue of abandoned oil and gas wells that may pose a threat to human health and the environment.
According to a release from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR), four contracts worth more than $3 million were awarded in February to address approximately 1,900 abandoned wells in Missouri.
