DHHS Director warns federal funding changes could bring significant cuts to state programs

As Michigan lawmakers begin reviewing Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s executive budget for Fiscal Year 2026, uncertainty surrounding federal funding has remained a confounding variable in crafting a new state budget.
