Swannanoa, N.C. (WATE) — A woman outside of Asheville is getting a new home after her property in Swannanoa was flooded by Hurricane Helene last September.
When the water receded, mud filled Wanda Robinson’s home, and she didn’t know what to do. Then dozens of volunteers from Samaritan’s Purse, a non-denominational Christian relief group , pitched in to help. Today, her home is unlivable, but Samaritan’s Purse will be giving her a new one at a different location.

Robinson estimates the water was nearly three feet deep inside her home, leaving a foot of mud in the crawl space so all the flooring and sidewalls were removed.
