Wayne Brady Grills Contestant on Let’s Make A Deal

Additional Coverage:

Local contestant Meishelle, dressed as Luigi from Super Mario Bros, had a lucrative run on Let’s Make a Deal. She played a trivia game, “Who Wants to Answer Multiple Choice Questions for Cash and Prize?” Host Wayne Brady quizzed her on details from earlier in the show.

For her first question, Meishelle correctly identified which curtain hid a Nissan Versa, winning $500. Although the audience shouted suggestions, Wayne pressed her to confirm she knew the answer herself.

Her next question asked about a trip offered in the Silent Auction. Again, with some audience help, she correctly answered “Miami,” adding another $1,000 to her winnings.

The third question, worth $2,000, asked about the amount of a fake ATM withdrawal. This time, Meishelle consulted her godmother, also in costume, who gave her the correct answer of $400.

With $3,500 in hand, Meishelle faced a final decision. She could keep her winnings or choose one of three envelopes: two containing “Zonks” and one holding $10,000.

Meishelle decided to keep her $3,500. However, just for fun, Wayne had her pick an envelope. She chose the one that actually held the $10,000, proving her instincts might have led to an even bigger win.
