AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center will launch a new general surgery residency program in Amarillo.
According to officials with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, the program is set to begin in 2026 and will serve as many as 14 residents at its capacity.
Officials added that during the five-year program, residents will get training with an emphasis on the unique needs of rural and underserved populations. The goal is to retain these physicians to practice in the area after completing their residencies or fellowships…
