Spring-like stretch ahead!

  • Near 40° with some sunshine today
  • Staying warm through workweek
  • Chance of rain on Wednesday

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – After nearly two weeks of colder-than-average temperatures, we finally have a mild stretch coming up this week! Temperatures will climb near 40 degrees this afternoon, and will likely stay close to or warmer than that through the rest of this week.

That means that you’ll finally be able to clear some of the ice off of your driveway or sidewalk. However, with overnight temperatures getting back near freezing this week you may want to watch for spots that refreeze on sidewalks or parking lots in the early mornings.

What’s Coming Up…

Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy this morning but will begin to turn sunnier through the afternoon. Winds will be light so there won’t be much of a chill as temperatures climb into the upper 30s. Highs will top off on either side of 40 degrees this afternoon. It’ll be a nice afternoon to get out of a walk and enjoy some of the sunshine that will finally feel a bit warmer!…
